Spend Mother’s Day on South Granville Street
May 10, 2014
You won’t have to travel far to pamper your mom this Mother’s Day. South Granville is just a quick drive from our Oak Townhomes and offers a wide array of restaurants, shops, and salons to ensure a day well spent with mom.
First Stop: Sunday Brunch
Start the morning off with a delicious meal at Paul’s Place Omelettery, located at 2211 Granville Street. While we’re partial to the large selection of specialty omelettes, the Traditional Eggs Benedict or the Texas Cut Cinnamon French Toast with berry compote and whipped cream won’t disappoint. After you’ve licked your plate clean, walk up to Blenz on the corner of Granville and Broadway for a latte to-go. Nothing goes better with window shopping than a warm cup of caffeine.
2nd Stop: Retail Therapy
Make your way up the shopping district of South Granville Street and browse the stores mom doesn’t usually have time to stop in. Williams-Sonoma and Cookworks house all the latest kitchen gadgets, while Anthropologie offers one-of-a-kind clothing and jewellery. If you haven’t already picked up a little something for mom, pop by La Vie en Rose for a comfy pair of slippers, or treat her to some European bath and beauty products from L’Occitane en Provence.
Final Stop: Blow Her Away
If you really want to make this Mother’s Day special, make her a hair appointment at Blo Blow Dry Bar at 1529 West 14th Avenue. Now that she looks the part, finish the day off with a gourmet dinner at Seasons in the Park, in the heart of Queen Elizabeth Park. Indulge in Caesar Salad, Slow Roasted Prime Rib, Yorkshire Pudding, and Chocolate Cake for their $35 Sunday evening special. After all, your mom is worth it!
Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Listraor.
