As the largest high school fashion design program in Western Canada, Eric Hamber’s Fashion Design and Technology Program has nurtured many successful graduates. The Theatre Department produces four mainstage and four junior productions (“Footlights”) annually, including guest-directed plays, musicals, and student-written works. Students gain hands-on experience in acting, directing, and stage production, fostering creativity and confidence.

The seismic replacement of Eric Hamber Secondary School is now complete, providing a safer and more modern learning environment for students and staff. Completed in September 2023, the new four-storey Eric Hamber Secondary School building is a modern educational hub, located on the northern part of the campus where the previous running track and field once stood. With a capacity for 1,700 students, the new school was built to LEED Gold standards, incorporating energy-saving measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The school features 37 classrooms, 10 science labs, a library, a multi-purpose room, and specialized spaces such as technology shops, a 350-seat auditorium, and three music rooms. There are also two gymnasiums, a dance studio, weight room, and health & fitness lab. 

As the first secondary school in Vancouver to feature a dedicated rooftop childcare centre, the facility provides nearly 70 licensed spaces for children under age five, supporting families in the South Cambie neighbourhood. The school also honors the rich cultural heritage of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) people through Indigenous designs, including a prominent female welcome figure and weaving creations by local artists Brent and Debra Sparrow.
